Columbus, OH
Born and raised in Columbus, Ohio, I became interested in the practice of law as a teenager after my family went through a three-year divorce and my siblings and I were brought into the court battle. I was inspired by the experience to become a lawyer myself to help other children and families through the harrowing experience that a contested divorce can be. At seventeen, I joined the ARMY ROTC to pay for college at Capital University, and after graduating with degrees in Sociology, Criminology, and Military Science, I went on to attend Capital University Law School and pass the Ohio Bar Exam in 2013.
Now, with over a decade of experience working in the legal field, I run my own law firm, Hannah's Legal Help, and I approach the practice of law differently than most. I have abandoned the hourly rate model and accept flat fees and payment plans. I meet with my clients in their homes, or by Zoom if it is more convenient for them and give my clients my cell phone number so we can keep the line of communication open. I focus on building relationships with my clients and use my experience to provide clarity and comfort when I can. I believe the practice of law is a calling, not just a career, and I always think of little Hannah as I continue to strive to become the kind of attorney she would be proud of. I currently accept cases in the areas of adoption, surrogacy, family law, estate planning, name changes, assisted reproduction, and more.
